After passing chronic and acute toxicity testing in animals, a pilot study was undertaken with HCV patients. The promising results from the first 10 patients reported Hepatitis C RNA dropping well below original levels. Further testing is being pursued.

The patients were diagnosed positive for antibodies to the Hepatitis C virus, and showed elevated levels of GPT (glutamic pyruvate transaminase) and had chronic illness for 3 to 20 years before using Eurocel.
